🐛 WILLOW WORKSHOPS 2025 🦋
Help us to create and decorate 2-3 new giant willow puppets for this year’s Lantern Parade!
In these workshops you’ll be taught how to create sculptures using eco-friendly willow.
Volunteers will be given the opportunity to decorate the sculptures using wet-strength tissue paper and ribbons.
We also hope to repurpose last year’s puppets, giving them a new lease of life for 2025!
The theme of this year’s Lantern Parade will be ‘Children’s Literature’
We’ll provide tea, coffee & biscuits - come join us for a chance to get crafty whilst socialising with other like-minded members of the community!
Workshop Details…
Location: Grumpy’s Restaurant
Workshop Price: Free
Workshop Timings: Drop in any time from 4pm, sessions will likely end at 8.30pm
Suitability: Due to the large scale of the lanterns (they’re quite fiddly!) the workshops are aimed at adults. However as long as they’re happy to get stuck in, ages 9+ are welcome between 4pm & 6pm.
